Integrate your FileMaker solution with MYOB or Quickbooks
Need your FileMaker solution to send or receive data from MYOB or Quickbooks? We can help you!

We have the necessary skills to help you implement your FileMaker solution with MYOB or Quickbooks. There are two ways we can achieve this for you:
1. Integration via text exports
This method is the most cost effective method and suits majority of clients. We build some export scripts within your FileMaker solution. A user will manually click the Export button within your FileMaker Solution and the data will be written to a text file onto your desktop. The user will then import the text file into MYOB or Quickbooks.
It's a simple two step process, and it only takes a minute or two to do. You can run the process as many times as you like, for example daily, weekly, monthly or whenever you choose.
The advantage of using this method is it's quick to set up and it's also cost effective. The downside of this method is it's a manual process and requires human intervention to get the data across to MYOB or Quickbooks.
2. Integration via ODBC
This is the ultimate method to transfer FileMaker data across to MYOB. It can also be used in both directions, i.e. to send and receive data from your accounting package. For example you can read data from MYOB and bring it across to FileMaker, not just sending data from FileMaker to the accounting software.
With this method, your FileMaker solution will automatically transfer data such as clients, invoices, sales etc. to MYOB without the need for any human intervention. You don't have to wait to transfer the data manually at a later date, the data will be transferred automatically for you at regular intervals such as every half hour or however often you like. It can even transfer the data instantly as soon as it's been created in FileMaker if you like.
There are some limitations to this method. MYOB AccountEdge for Mac does not have any ODBC support and therefore cannot take advantage of this method. However, after speaking with MYOB, we've been advised that it may be a feature they will potentially support in the near future, so fingers crossed!
The advantage of this method is the data is automatically transferred over to MYOB without any human intervention. Also the data can be used in both directions, i.e. sent or received from MYOB. The disadvantage is it takes longer to implement and costs more than the first method because more work is involved in setting it up.
