Version 4.2.0
New: Resources can now be booked outside of regular office hours, i.e. rooms or studios.
New: Resource Type and Group can now be restricted to limit the amount of bookings for a single time-slot.
New: Borrower privileges can now be imported from the borrower list screen.
New: The ability to track kits has been added. A new tab in resources called 'Kit Items' has been added. You can assign multiple kit items to a resource. There is also an option to flag a kit item as missing and run a report.
New: A new report to print a list of missing kit items has been added.
New: You can now restrict the number of weeks borrowers can book resources in advance and only allow them to book within a certain number of weeks.
New: When returning a resource by scanning its barcode, the borrowers name and account status is displayed.

Change: When importing resources, if there is no matching resource type in preferences then it will automatically create one.
Fix: When previewing a report with multiple pages, you can now navigate to the other pages.
Fix: Web users were able book resources even though they had no privilege set assigned to their borrower record.
Fix: For new users created after the 4.1.1 update; when searching for resources it would display an error 'The borrower does not have the ability to borrow any resources'.
Fix: If you clicked cancel when making a booking, it used to jump to the first resource record.
Fix: When extending a borrowers booking it incorrectly used to say you cannot borrow this resource type more than 'n' times within an 'n' day period.
Fix: If you used the '|' symbol in a resource name it caused problems when deleting a borrowers resource via the web.
Fix: For web users only. In some instances a borrowers privileges were not enabled.

Fix: Web users are now able to navigate through records using the next and previous buttons.
Fix: When borrowers viewed 'resources in my possession' via the web the return date and return times were incorrectly displaying the same date and time for all resources.

Change: A minimum of FileMaker version 10 is required for BookingPOINT 4.1.0.
Change: Improved script schedules (Deluxe Only). Important: after updating to 4.1.0 you will need to point your FileMaker server schedules to the new scheduler scripts. Refer to you documentation entitled 'Installing BookingPOINT Deluxe'.
Change: Merged 'Operators' tab and 'Privileges' tab in Preferences onto one tab called 'Users/Security' to allow room for new tabs.
Change: Email Authentication password in preferences now displays '*****' to hide the password.
Fix: When returning resources from service before the return date, you could not book the resource from the Day View screen.
Fix: If you create a duplicate Borrower student No then navigate to List View, the system would allow you to create a duplicate Borrower record.
Fix: In some instances operators were able to edit Resource records and Borrower records even though their privileges did not allow it.
Fix: In some instances borrowers were not receiving overdue email notices when a resource was overdue by between 30 minutes and 1 day. In this event borrowers were likely to never receive their overdue email even after 1 day.

Fix: When running BookingPOINT in FileMaker 11. If you make a booking and return it on a holiday it would allow you. This has now been fixed.
Change: Can run script schedules manually when needed (Deluxe Only).

Fix: Operators are now able to delete resources and borrowers when operator privilege set is 'Admin'.
Fix: When renaming the BookingPOINT_Main file at the operating system level the Borrowers and Resources import feature would not import all data.

New: Set multiple office hours within a day. For example, You can set Mondays opening hours from 8:00 AM to 11:00 AM and also from 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM.
New: For each privilege set you now have the ability to set the maximum allowable bookings within a period of time for an individual resource, a resource group or a resource type.
New: View Resource historical bookings via the Resources Detail screen.
New: Set 'Block Out' times for any day of the week and for any resource. A 'Block Out' time is a time that a resource will not be available for booking.
New: Set office hours within preferences. This will allow you to ensure resources can only be booked within office hours for same day bookings.
Change: Sharing menu is now accessible via File menu
Fix: On the web when you reserve a resource then change the resource type and click search, you will be prompted to either Save, Don't Save or cancel the reservations. Clicking cancel will leave you stuck on this screen. This has now been resolved.
Fix: For Mac users only. On the web when you go to book a resource, if you click the 'Cancel' button on this screen it will sometimes cause an error to appear on the screen. Service temporarily unavailable.
Fix: Printing loan agreements no longer prints a single resource per page.
Version 3.1.3
This version prepares 3.1.2 (or earlier) for the version 4.0 upgrade. No new features were released in this version.

New: Administrators can now click on a booking belonging to another borrower (other than the current borrower) from the booking grid to see the borrower and the details of the booking.
New: Under borrowers privileges you can now set a limit on the amount of weeks for a recurring booking.
Fix: Once you have reserved a booking and you change from Day View to Week View or vice versa, you will be prompted to save or delete your reservation/s. This feature existed in previous versions but stopped working in version 3.1.1.
Fix: FileMaker Server 11 Advanced running on Snow Leopard (10.6.x) has a bug which affected BookingPOINT. It would cause the Web Publishing Engine in FileMaker to crash when accessing a certain BookingPOINT page via the web. Although this is a FileMaker issue, we've altered our code to overcome the issue and the Web Publishing Engine no longer crashes.
Fix: When changing passwords on the web, if your new password does not match the confirmed password or you don't enter a password or your old password is incorrectly entered you will get a message advising you of your mistake. The problem is you cannot exit from this screen and return to the change password screen. This has now been resolved.
Fix: Scheduled scripts would not activate when running BookingPOINT with FileMaker Pro 9.
Change: Updated the update package instructions ... they are now more intuitive with easy to follow instructions and screen shots.
Version 3.1.1
New: Bookings can now be made for any date and time range. In other words you now click on a resource and enter the custom booking details via a popup window or a separate page on the web. This allows for more flexibility with overnight bookings.
New: You can now edit a booking by clicking on it (providing it's the current borrowers booking). In the past, clicking on the booking was the way to delete bookings.
New: Once a resource has been collected a student may now extend the booking by clicking on their existing booking.
New: Administrators can swap a booked resource with a suitable replacement resource at time of pickup. In Resources, a new field called 'Group' has been added which allows resources to be grouped and later swapped for one another at time of pickup. A new button called 'Swap' has been added to the Pickup screen next to Barcode.
New: Overdue and return reminders can now be scheduled from the preferences screen and for customers who run FileMaker 10 Server they can schedule the scripts to run on FileMaker Server. Previously you were required to purchase another copy of FileMaker just to run the schedule - this is no longer the case. FileMaker Server 10+ users that have the old scheduler module set-up may want to read the document titled "Changing Scheduler Methods" to change over to the new method. This document is only available in the update packages.
Change: To delete a booking from the graphical calendar, you now click the booking to edit it, and a 'Delete' button is presented on the 'edit' window.
Change: Renamed 'Overnight Bookings' screen to 'Week View'.
Change: Renamed 'Same Day Bookings' screen to 'Day View'.
Fix: When running Reports in Filemaker 10 it prints the Menu screen rather than the actual report.
Fix: When logging into web bookings and navigating to Day View bookings no times would display. If a booking is made with no times displaying it caused negative time bookings and potentially overlapping bookings in some circumstances.
Fix: In preferences under the 'Pickup/Return' tab you were able to set the 'Overnight Booking and Return Times' to any time you wish. If you set a time that was not a 15 minute interval, eg 12:10 PM then this would cause the booking to not display on the Day View screen. You are now restricted to entering a time value in 15 minute increments.
Fix: Bookings with a status of 'missed' were still appearing in the Overnight Booking screen. Where a resource is missed/not collected in time that resource should immediately become available for loan.
Fix: When renaming a Resource type in preferences it would sometimes rename the wrong resource type.
Fix: Previously when deleting a borrowers loaned resource it would not set the resource status to 'IN' after deleting it.
Version 3.1.0
New: Added an export feature for Resources. In the Resources list view screen at the bottom of the page there is an export button.

New: On the graphical calendar, when clicking on an existing booking, a dialog box will now show you who the borrower is and ask you if you want to view the borrower or the booking details.
New: Built in external authentication to allow users to log-in with their existing Active Directory or Open directory accounts rather than having to setup new log-in accounts for each user in BookingPOINT.
New: Added Barcode field to Borrowers which is intended for barcode number on the student identification cards if it is different to the actual student number.
New: Updated the student number field throughout the system so that either the student number or the barcode number can be used to look up a borrower. For example, the Overnight Bookings screen, the borrowers barcode can now be used to look up the borrower. This change has been applied to the following screens: Overnight Bookings, Same Day Bookings, Upcoming Bookings, Pickup & Return.
New: Added Resource Barcode to the search criteria for both overnight and same-day bookings. Users can now search resources at time of booking by barcode. This allows BookingPOINT to be used like a library system, i.e. a specific resource can be loaned out by barcode.
Change: The available menu options in the overnight and same day screen were different to all other parts of the system. Made the menus in these areas the same as the rest of the system.
Fix: Fixed Resource Import - an internal required field was not being set correctly at time of import and throwing the system out.
Fix: Fixed an issue which allowed you to search for resources while in the overnight and Same day booking screen without entering a borrower. Would cause the search to run without stopping.
Fix: Fixed issue where demerit points were incorrectly being issued for resources that don't require pickup and return.
Fix: Fixed issue where search mode was not being exited correctly within the 'Bookings List' when changing screens using the secondary sub-tabs.
Fix: Fixed an issue which caused the system to crash when no student number was entered while searching for resources via the booking screen.
