Hi-Voltage has announced the release of LatitudeZERO 2.0. LatitudeZERO allows users to easily calculate distances between two longitude / latitude coordinates or two ZIP codes within FileMaker Pro, without the need of any plug-ins.
LatitudeZERO 2.0 replaces version 1.3 and is no longer a FileMaker plug-in. Instead, Hi-Voltage decided release 2.0 as a set of custom functions.
As a set of custom functions, developers do not need to worry about installing plug-ins and making sure they work on the appropriate operating system. No need to script the auto-installer for multi-user environments. And the best for last ... LatitudeZERO 2.0 can easily be implemented within web enabled solutions - without any additional development!
LatitudeZERO has come down in price and is now half price. Why? Because a set of custom functions are so much easier for us to maintain verses the complexity of developing plug-ins. We have decided to pass on the saving to our clients.
